Biocycle Lighting Sprint Results From Murray Bridge On The 28th Of November
8/12/2009 9:03:18 PM - Kate Wiese Media

On Saturday the 28th of November the Biocycle Waste Water Treatment SA9 Lighting Sprint team made their way to Murray Bridge Speedway, for the Second round of the Track Points. It was a very wet day which was on the border of cancelling the race meeting all together. The Murray Bridge Speedway push though to get the meet under way. The Lighting sprints contested a twin feature format, which meant they would have two 15 lap races.
The weather loomed around for most the night with showery patches in between races throughout the night. The first race saw Kate start out of Position 3 behind the SA16 car. The race had two starts which allowed Kate to get a better start in the second restart. The Green Machine pulled in to position 5 for most of the race. It was a tough race with lots of lap cars coming up because of the length of the race. Kate had one little bingle with another car due to the car in front coming to fast halt. The SA9 kept going and raced hard lap after lap with the SA16 car. Coming in to the last corner the 16 machine ran a little high allowing Kate to get underneath him for the 4th Place position.

The Weather held off for the second race and final race for the night for the lighting sprints. A freshly prepared race track allowed the Lighting Sprints to put on some hotly contested racing. The Biocycle SA9 would start from the rear of the grind in position 7. It would be hard work getting though the cars. The race was on between the SA9 and the SA17 car of Sam Putland. Kate kept very close lap after lap. Kate put a pass on Lee Payne to move into the 5th Position spot. As the race drew closer to the finish Kate was not able to put a move on Sam Putland and finished in 5th Position.
“It was a great fun night of racing. Everyone was on the pace which made it hard to get pass cars.” Kate Said after the meeting. “I am looking forward to the second round of the series at Murray Bridge, should be a good night of action.” “It was great to see a good field of lighting sprints for the meeting.” “Looks like numbers are growing even further for the next meet on the 12th.”

The next meeting for the Biocycle Waste Water Treatment SA9 Lighting Sprint team will be held on the 12th of December at Murray Bridge Speedway, for the Second round of the Lighting Sprints Challenge Series. It will be a greats nights racing. The Team would love to see you there.
